Libra Legal MCP for Claude

Libra Legal MCP connects Claude to Libra's legal AI platform. Once connected, Claude can access Libra's extensive, vetted database of case law and legislation, look up court forms and procedures, find law firms working in the relevant area, estimate settlement figures, and draft documents from Libra's template library, with sources and citations from Libra's curated legal knowledge base.

Built by Libra. Not legal advice. See Important limitations below.

Example prompts

  • "What have UK courts said about landlords' repair obligations under section 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985?"
  • "Which form do I need to apply for a non-molestation order, and what's the procedure?"
  • "Find recent case law on unfair dismissal where the employee was on long-term sick leave."
  • "Find me solicitors who handle housing disrepair claims."
  • "Draft a demand letter for an unpaid invoice using a Libra template, then give me the Word file."
  • "Give me a rough settlement estimate for a whiplash injury with 8 months' recovery."

Important limitations

Libra provides legal information, not legal advice and Libra is not a regulated law firm. The service can connect you to regulated lawyers where you need advice. Outputs are research assistance and starting points, not a substitute for a qualified lawyer. Settlement figures are indicative estimates only.

Coverage varies by capability

  • Case law, legislation, and forms & procedures cover UK law initially and new territories are being added, starting with New York Law. Results flag where a provision belongs to a jurisdiction-specific, so always check that a cited section applies to your jurisdiction.
  • Document templates and drafting guidance are England & Wales only.
  • Settlement estimates follow England & Wales practice (Judicial College Guidelines and Ogden tables).
Knowledge-base content is kept up to date to the best of our ability but without warranty. Always verify critical points against primary sources cited in results. Claude may chose not to provide certain citations as the Claude AI lindependently determines when to use the Libra Legal MCP tools. Check results using app.libra.law.
